WLE-- recording studio

Recording Studio- Music is a big part of life, my life. Without Music there is no sound in the world. Music is what makes us come to life and the world go round. Not going to far in history starting around the years of popping music like Doug E. fresh, Sugar Hill Gang, Salt n Peppa,Run DMC, LL cool J, New Edition, Brandy, TLC,Jodeci, biz markey, soul for real,JJ FAD, and more. See that was "old skool" music that meant something. not putting down women it made you want to have a good time.

>Music is me.........Music is life...... So share it<

Maya Angelou---Gather Together In My Name

Lately in this life story book, maya come across a man who she likes a man by the name of "curly" who drives a 1941 pontaic and lives in a nice hotel. So them two had spent some time together back at his place with Reet aka Maya's new born son. So they made love and maya laid there crying in his arms.
*I do not think she was crying because of something negative. She was crying because she liked him and it was on a positive note and she was in love.
"i was so happy that the next day i went to a jewelry and bought him an onyx ring with a diamond chip. i charged it to my stepfaher's account".(18)
*wow....crazy. If thats not LOVE or SPRUNG than i dont know what is..
OH MY GOSH.. THE MAN OF REET DREAMS LEFT HER IN THE HOTEL AND NEVER CAME BACK.SHE FEELS THAT HE LEFT BECAUSE HE WANTED HER AND THE BABY TO BE BY THEM SELVES. THIS REMINDS ME OF MEN IN PERIOD THEY JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT ANOTHER FEMALE HAS TO OFFER AND THEY LEAVE AND ESPECIALLY IF THEIR A BABY INVOLVED. THATS JUST MY OPINION.

WLE---Recording Studio

Since I have been working in the recording studio, producing music and having my own artist. We have been making progress. Instead of one song! we're trying to make three songs! what I learned by working in the music studio it been wonderful. I learned so much about music and behind the music industry. my mentor been a big help.

second book--- gather together in my name

In the second book, Gather Together in My Name, by Maya Angelou is a different book from my first one. her first novel was a book of advice in life situations. Then, this one is a story about her life at the age of seventeen, getting a job and not being able too cook because her stepfather feels that black women cook long enough for white people and they should not cook for them again. Maya is trying to tell her stepfather that she needs the money to take care of her son, and job is better than having no job.

Maya Angelou

In the book I wouldnt take nothing for my journey now, I read a chapters about jealously.

Jealously...
---"A jealousy lover can be a little amusing. in fact, jealousy made evident in a room filled with people can be an outright intoxicant to everyone, includig the lovers. it must be remembered, however, that jealousy in romance is like salt in food. A little pleasure and , under certain circumstances, can be life-threatening." (129)
My thought about this passage, Ms. Maya speaks on relationship in a different manor.
And this piece of passage made so much sense. The style came so easy and it flows.

We conversated and took pictures.
When this project is done and I have to show my finish piece, i hope it comes out like I plan.

Maya Angelou- wouldnt take nothing from my journey now

In Ms. Angelou novel, the paragraph(s) that caught my attention were on page 57, "clothes make the man", "clothes can make the man or woman look silly and foppish and foolish."
----->Any clothes you wear, will make you look good or bad. depending on how you carrry yourself.

----->heres another one.
" seek the fashion which truly fits and befits you. you will always be in fashion if you are true to yourself, and only if you are true to yourself."

This really caught my attention because it reminds me of church on a sunday morning, when the pastor preach on the word of the lord. and what Maya's quote was kind of true. What I think she meant by this quote, is to find inner beauty by not through clothes and wear what makes you, you.

JENDAYI SMITH-AMERICAN

THE AMERICAN AURTHOR I CHOOSE IS MAYA ANGELOU. WHEN MAYA ANGELOU WRITES HER BOOKS AND POEMS I FEEL STRONGER, LIKE THE POEM PHENOMENAL WOMEN AND STILL I RISE. WHEN I READ THEM, IN MY MIND, I SAY YES! WOMEN POWER! SHE HAS BEEN IN MOVIES AND HER POEMS ALSO. SHE WAS IN POETIC JUSTICE AND MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION. HE POEMS HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN BEAUTY SHOP.
MAYA ANGELOU MEETS ALL OF THE CRITERIA. SHE IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN. SHE WRITES ABOUT HER LIFE IN THE BOOK, I KNOW WHY THE CAGE BIRD SINGS. SHE SPEAKS FROM A WOMEN POINT OF VIEW. MAYA ANGELOU BEEN AROUND SINCE OUR MOMS WAS KIDS. I THINK SHE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE SHE IS OLDER AND SHE SEEN A LOT OF THINGS IN HER LIFE AND BY PUTTING IT IN HER BOOK. MAYA ANGELOU SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF CRITICISM SINCE SHE IS A BLACK AURTHOR. I MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND SOME CRITICISM ON HER WEBSITE. GO TO AMAZON TO READ ABOUT HER BOOKS, THE WAY THEY RATE HER NOVELS.
THE BOOKS I HAVE IN MIND OF READING, I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS, AND STILL I RISE, AND I SHALL NOT BE MOVED. IN THIS ORDER WOULD BE FINE, BECAUSE THE WAY THE TITLES SOUNDS. I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SING. FROM MY UNDERSTANDING SHE WAS MUTE FOR 3-5 YEARS BECAUSE HER MOM BOYFRIEND RAPED HER. THEN SHE FINALLY SPOKE OUT AT THE END. THAT SHOWS SHE WAS THE BIRD IN THE CAGED AND SHE SUNG OUT. THREW ALL OF THE PAIN, MAYA'S BOOK AND STILL I RISE, IT SEEMS LIKE SHE KEEP GOING, SHE STILL RISING. THE THIRD BOOK, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED. SHE MADE HER MARK OF SAYING I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE. THESE THREE BOOKS SHOULD BE OVER 200 PAGES. TO FIND HER BIOGRAPHY I CAN GO ON
I FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING MAYA ANGELOU FOR RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I HAVE NOT READ ALL HER BOOKS. SO THIS WILL BE AN ALRIGHT EXPERIENCE FOR ME TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY AMERICAN AUTHOR.

JENDAYI SMITH-MOVING VOICES

Louisville, Kentucky- In the early 60’s, I had my first daughter, Roxane, then a couple years later, I had my second daughter, Gail. And they were the new addition to the Travis. One thing about the Travis is that everyone in the city knew about us and nobody messed with because they knew the consequences. Growing up in the south was very hard to get a job, I try to work at a hospital and the white lady said that I had to meet the requirements and come back tomorrow. So the next day I came back to the hospital and had an interview with the lady in the main office. I met all the requirements, she was so amazed and jealous that I did not get the job. So, me being the lady that I stood up and said, “thank you for your time and god bless,” I knew I had to kill her with kindness, and that is exactly what I did. Then one day, I had to leave Kentucky, because my husband Clyde, wanted to be Mr. tough guy and rob the local bank. When you rob a bank you suppose to get money, cash, paper. But noooo, he took all the coins and was running down the street with nickels and dimes worth $500. The bank of coarse called the police. When I seen what happen on the news that my husband, Clyde Travis, got away with money and their was a warrant out for him. I felt like bonnie. I just knew my husband was up to no good, when we were watching television that evening. He told he wanted to go out for a while to collect some money from a old friend. I had no clue his old friend was a bank! I instantly packed my bags and my kids, called a taxi and was headed to the airport. The lady asked, “ Where do you wanna go?” I asked, “Where can I go with 200 dollars?” she replied, “Detroit or San Francisco. I looked down at my daughters and said San Francisco m’ am. And began a new life on the West Coast.
